Football Preview: Week 10

SAN MARCOS, CA (11/08/21)- It is week 10 of the football season for Palomar, as they face El Camino on the road. The Comets are coming off a heartbreaking 45-48 loss vs Mt San Antonio.

Through nine games, the Comets average 342 yards of offense while giving up 387 yards on defense. The Comets average 29 points a game while giving up 28 points a game.

Comets quarterback Zeke Payne (Rancho Bernardo) is coming off a 25-42, 382 yards six touchdowns performance. Tawee Walker (Centennial) leads the running backs group, as he averages 4.8 yards per rush. Brandon Johnson (El Camino) leads the wide receivers group, as he has 29 receptions for 425 yards and five touchdowns.

The Comets defense is led by linebacker Vavega Sialoi (Vista), who has 28 tackles, including two tackles for loss. Ricky Davis Jr (Arbor View) has four interceptions to lead the Comets defense. Kicker Landon Ogles (Rancho Bernardo) has made 12 field goal attempts.

El Camino quarterback Mehki Jordan has hit 73 of 132 passes for 865 yards and seven touchdowns on the opposite side of the field. Running back Stephen Bradford has 153 carries for 876 yards and seven touchdowns. Wide receiver Dion Moore has 33 receptions for 545 yards and five touchdowns.

Mt San Antonio's defense is led by linebacker Michael Kielbasa, who has 51 tackles and one sack. Defensive back Kekoa Carroll has 23 tackles and three interceptions. Kicker Noah Guastella has knocked down nine field goals and 37 extra points.

The Comets look for their fifth win of the season. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at El Camino on Saturday, November 13th.
