SAN MARCOS, CA (3/20/2020) – Sophomore quarterback Rodney Thompson has signed with Northern Illinois University to continue his collegiate football career.

He had 25 passing touchdowns. Thompson proved his legs were just as valuable as his arm when he totaled 343 rushing yards. He had a career high 77 rushing yards against Cerritos College. He racked up four rushing touchdowns as well. Thompson is a St. Augustine alum and a bounce-back from Northern Arizona University.

Edwin Vorchack is the latest Comet to commit to Waldorf University, joining offensive lineman Anthony Escalante. Vorchack was a defensive back for the Comets out of Escondido High School. Vorchack recorded 19 tackles on the season for Palomar. He had a career high four tackles against San Diego Mesa. He recorded one forced fumble and one fumble recovery against Moorpark College and Cerritos College, respectively.
