Football Week Three Preview

Palomar travels to Citrus College tomorrow for their second road game of the season. Coming off a 28-24 loss, Palomar is looking for their second win of the season.

Citrus is on a two-game winning streak. They defeated West LA, 26-16, in their first game and Compton 45-6 last week. Over the season, the Owls have allowed 156 offensive yards, 153.5 passing and 2.5 rushing. They have allowed 11 points a game. Offensively, Citrus has had 369 yards, 202.5 rushing and 166.5 passing. They average 35.5 points a game.

Palomar is 1-1 with a 30-19 win over Moorpark and a 28-24 loss to Southwestern last week. Defensively, the Comets have allowed 322 yards, 134 rushing and 188 passing. They have also allowed 23.5 points per game. Offensively, they have 343 yards, 104 rushing and 238.5 passing.

Last week, quarterback Shea Morales threw for 188 yards and rushed for 39 yards. Tywayne Reed Jr. rushed for 53 yards on nine carries. Damon Wigand rushed for 22 yards on six carries. Johnny Armentrout had 89 receiving yards on four receptions, including a 72-yard reception from Morales. Jeremiah Ruger had 47 yards on three receptions and Kyran Griffin had 45 yards on six receptions.

Palomar and Citrus have met only three times since 2012 and Palomar is 3-0 against them during that time frame.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday at Citrus College.
