Comets best Olympians to stay atop PCAC

SAN MARCOS, CA (3/25/2022) -- The Comets continue to roll thorugh their PCAC schedule after taking down the San Diego Mesa College Olympians twice in 13-5 and 5-2 victories on Tuesday and Thursday. 

Sophomore catcher Devlin Lindeman made sure to stay atop the home run leaders standings as he went yard for number 10 this season on Tuesday, a day where he also hit two triples to finish 3-5 on the day. Center fielder Ethan Ellis, a recent commit to Army Westpoint, also went 3-5 wth two RBIs.

The hot bats aren't the only thing moving the Comets along, the starting pitcher has been remarkable from sophomore Dylan Delvecchio and freshman Logan Parker. In Thursday's game, it was Parker who stole the show. In his longest appearance of the season, eight innings, he allowed just two runs on six hits. In 31 batters faced, he recorded seven strikeouts and three walks. Parker leads the conference in ERA with an astonishing 2.79 and also is tied for most wins with six. 

Palomar stays atop the PCAC with a 8-2 record and is 18-6 overall. They will face No. 11 ranked Pasadena City College on Saturday for a 1 p.m. start time at home.
