Women show dominance over Mesa in conference opener

SAN MARCOS, CA (9/25/2019) – Women's water polo defeated San Diego Mesa College in their home and conference opener 14-2.

Alondra Alvarez had three goals for the Comets and one assist. Harley Young had four goals and three assists. Sydni Dickson had three goals and six assists. Ciara Webb had two goals and Haley Blach had two goals.

Defensively, Sophie White had seven steals. Dickson had four steals and Young and Blach each had two steals. Goalie Julia Miller had 12 saves on 14 shots.

The women are now 2-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play. They will be playing in the Mt. San Antonio College tournament this week where they will face Santa Monica on Friday and Rio Hondo on Saturday.
