
Palomar Sweeps San Diego City College in Dominant Win
SAN DIEGO, CA (10/25/2024) -- The Palomar College women's volleyball team continued their strong conference play with a 3-0 sweep over San Diego City College (25-21, 25-9, 25-18). The Comets showcased balanced play, improving their record and building momentum.
Janell Spires led the team with 13 kills, also contributing 10 digs and three blocks to anchor both the offense and defense. Emma Bambe added seven kills, while Delina Becker chipped in with five, rounding out a steady attack. Ashlynn Craven and Kylana Madayag kept the offense in rhythm with 15 and 11 assists, respectively.
The Comets' defense was formidable, with libero Cadence Young recording seven digs to help keep rallies alive. At the net, Teiora Tinoisamoa joined Spires in dominating with three blocks, while Brisa Necochea added two.
Palomar's focused performance and efficient teamwork allowed them to stay in control from start to finish. They will look to carry this energy into their next matchup as they continue conference play.
