Palomar Dominates Imperial Valley to Improve to 8-2

IMPERIAL, CA (9/27/2024) -- The Palomar College women's volleyball team continued their impressive run, defeating Imperial Valley College 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-21) on the road. With the victory, the Comets improved to 8-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

Middle blocker Brisa Necochea was the standout player of the match, recording 15 kills on 22 swings to hit a stellar .591. Teiora Tinoisamoa was equally impressive, tallying 11 kills on 15 attacks, hitting .600.

Setter Ashlynn Craven facilitated the offense with 23 assists, while Kylana Madayag contributed 16. Janell Spires led the defensive effort with seven digs, while Craven, Cadence Young, and Madayag added six, five, and six digs, respectively. Necochea also added two blocks to round out her all-around performance.

The Comets will return home to face Grossmont College on Wednesday as they look to continue their winning ways in conference play.
