SAN MARCOS, CA (9/25/2024) -- After a tough four-set loss to MiraCosta College, the Palomar College women's volleyball team bounced back in style, sweeping San Diego City College 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-16). The Comets showed resilience and depth as every player saw court time in the commanding win.
Janell Spires led the team with eight kills and a match-high 16 digs, demonstrating her all-around impact. Delina Becker added six kills, while Teiora Tinoisamoa and Brisa Necochea contributed five kills each, with Necochea also recording two blocks. Becker was a force at the net with a team-high three blocks.
Setter Kylana Madayag dished out 19 assists, while Ashlynn Craven added 15, keeping the offense in rhythm throughout the match.
The Comets' bounce-back win showed their ability to recover quickly and play as a cohesive unit. They'll look to build on this momentum as they continue their conference schedule.
