SANTA ANA, CA (9/19/2025) -- Palomar women's soccer capped their non-conference slate with a statement win on Friday, shutting out Santa Ana College 4-0 on the road.
The Comets set the tone early when Lizzy Cook opened the scoring in the 17th minute, finishing off a pass from Emma Gryn. Just 14 minutes later, Nataly Cisneros doubled the lead with an unassisted strike to give Palomar a 2-0 advantage heading into halftime.
Palomar kept their foot on the gas in the second half. Naomi Allen extended the lead in the 64th minute, converting off a setup from Taylor Devaney, and Matti Cardoza sealed the shutout with a goal in the 75th minute.
Defensively, the Comets were sharp, allowing just four shots all afternoon. Goalkeepers Gianna Belasco and Aida Lopez-Nunez combined for three saves to preserve the clean sheet. On the other end, Palomar poured in 20 shots, 13 on frame, overwhelming the Dons' back line.
Now 4-1-1 overall, Palomar will return to conference play on Tuesday with a big road test at San Diego Miramar College.
