Comets continue dominance in conference play

CHULA VISTA, CA (1/11/2023) -- Following a postponement of their game against Grossmont College last Friday night, No. 1 Palomar travelled to Southwestern College and won 113-32 to advance to 16-0 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.

The postponement of one game didn't slow down the Comets as they continued their dominance. Sophomore Deajanae Harvey recorded another double-double as she scored 25 points and finished with 12 steals. Sophomore Camille Sroufe finished the night with 15 points and four rebounds, while sophomore Eva Ciriza ended the night with 11. Freshmen Teanna Alaman and Mackenzie Kozina finsihed with 14 and 10 points, respectively.

The Comets dominated both ends of the floor. They outrebounded the Jaguars 59-26 and dished out 26 assists to the Jags' nine. Palomar was also perfect at the free-throw line going 11-11 on the night.

Palomar will hit the road to face Imperial Valley College on Friday night for a 6 p.m. tip before heading home on Wednesday night for a 5 p.m. game against Cuyamaca College.
