Marshall gets 200th win on first night of Comet Classic

Coming into tonight's game against Alan Hancock, head coach Leigh Marshall needed a win to reach the 200 career wins milestone and she got just that as her Comets defeated the Bulldogs 86-76 in the Dome. In a hard-fought battle, the Comets had their first challenge of the season going almost point-for-point the entire game. There were five ties and eight lead changes.

Both teams shot 33.3% from the arc while Allan Hancock shot 0.1% better inside. The battle came down to rebounds and turnovers, both of which the Comets won. Palomar forced 19 turnovers, while committing 15 of their own. They had 37 rebounds on the night.

Deajanae Harvey had 20 points on the night, while Rory Hetrick had 16. Faith Schwantner had 11 points, nine rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block on the night.
