Comets finish PCAC play with 15-1 record

IMPERIAL, CA (4/23/2019) -- In the final conference game of the season, the Comets beat Imperial Valley 15-0 in five innings.

Kylie Pignone was perfect on the day going 1-1, as were Rylee Penrod, who was 2-2, Jillian Zamora, who went 1-1, and Taylor Riley, who was also 1-1.

Samantha Renteria was 2-3 with four RBIs and Megan Wachholtz was 2-3 with three RBIs.

Allie Hughen pitched two innings and had four strikeouts. She was also 2-4 on the offensive side. Catalina Aguilar pitched two innings and had four strikeouts and gave up three hits. Audrey Braun pitched the fifth innings and had one strikeout and gave up one hit.

The Comets are 33-5 overall and finished in conference with a 15-1 record.
