Comets look to gain momentum in second half of PCAC play

SAN MARCOS, CA (10/15/2021) -- Men's water polo has begun their second half of Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play. After a hard fought battle against the Miramar Jets, the Comets fell 21-6 to the Mesa College Olympians. The men are currently 0-6 in conference play and 2-14 overall. They will be competing in the Riverside City College mini-tournament this weekend. Freshman Tino Mirizzi leads all Comets scoring 25 goals on the season and has an 80.6 shooting percentage. Kieran Reilly has racked up 19 steals on the season and has netted 22 goals. The Comets have shown improvement in each match. They will face Crafton Hills on Wednesday at 12 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to continue PCAC play.
