Comets Fall In 5 Sets At Home Against Olympians

SAN MARCOS (4-06-2017) -- Palomar won the first set 25-23 on a kill by Chandler Matteson but eventually dropped Thursday's men's volleyball home finale to visiting San Diego Mesa in 5 sets.

The scores in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match were 25-23, 25-18, 21-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Matteson, Adam Soberon, Connor Bentley and Quinn Burton were standouts in defeat for the Comets. It was the final home match for sophomores Matteson, Bentley and Ahmed Khalil.

The Comets will close the season on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Grossmont.
