Palomar Draws 1-1 with San Diego Mesa College

SAN DIEGO, CA (10/25/2024) -- The Palomar College men's soccer team fought to a 1-1 draw against San Diego Mesa College on Friday, extending their record to 4-7-5 overall and 1-3-4 in conference play. The game was a defensive battle for much of the match, with both teams holding each other scoreless through the first half.

Palomar finally broke the deadlock in the 78th minute when Felix Hamm capitalized on a well-timed assist from Abner Sosa, putting the Comets up 1-0. The lead, however, was short-lived, as Mesa managed to find the equalizer in the 89th minute, leaving the teams locked in a 1-1 tie at the final whistle.

Despite the draw, Palomar displayed strong defense and resilience throughout the match. As they continue their season, the Comets will be looking to turn these close contests into wins and strengthen their position in conference play.
