Drexler and Kortz commit to SFSU and Ottawa University (AZ)

SAN MARCOS, CA – Palomar College is proud to announce that two of its standout soccer players are transferring to continue their athletic and academic careers.

Maximilian Drexler, a talented midfielder from Palomar College, is transferring to San Francisco State University. Drexler has been a key player for Palomar, showcasing his exceptional skills and strategic play throughout the season. In the 2023-24 season, he scored three goals and provided five assists, demonstrating his ability to contribute both offensively and defensively. His ability to control the midfield and create opportunities for his teammates has made him a standout player. Drexler is excited to bring his talent and dedication to the San Francisco State University soccer program.

Kael Kortz, the team captain and a strong defensive player, is transferring to Ottawa University in Arizona. Kortz has demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment during his time at Palomar College. As captain, he has led the team with his exceptional defensive skills and tactical understanding of the game. In the 2023-24 season, Kortz scored three goals, showing his capability to contribute offensively as well. His ability to inspire and lead his teammates both on and off the field has been invaluable. Kortz is eager to continue his soccer career at Ottawa University and contribute to their program.
