SAN MARCOS, CA (10/6/2023) -- The Palomar College men's soccer team was looking for their second conference win and got it in a 1-0 victory over Southwestern College on Friday afternoon.

The Comets have been quick to score all season and Friday was no exception. Artur Trifol scored in the first 10 minutes off a pass from Alexis Venegas to take the 1-0 lead. From their, the Comet defense hung tough while the offense had the momentum to keep building. Goalkeeper Max Subra recorded his second shutout this season after making several key saves. 

Palomar moves to 5-2-5 overall and 2-0-2 in conference play. They will head to Cuyamaca College on Tuesday for a 3:15 p.m. kickoff before coming home on Friday for a 3 p.m. match against Imperial Valley College.
