Comets defeat Palo Verde to move to 7-3 on season

CHULA VISTA, CA (12/7/2019) – ON day two of the Grossmont Invitational, Palomar faced Palo Verde College and won 92-59.

Anthony Smith led the team again with 24 points. He also had five rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block. Antonio Green had 18 points along with six rebounds, eight assists and four steals. Michael Brandon ended the night with 17 points. All three were perfect at the charity stripe shooting a combined 7-7.

The team had 40 rebounds and 26 total assists. They committed 18 turnovers but caused 23 to score 25 points off the turnovers.

The Comets move to 7-3 overall and will end the invitational at 5 p.m. on Sunday and will face LA Southwest College.
