Palomar pushes past Moorpark in 91-77 win

CHULA VISTA, CA (12/6/2019) – Palomar is competing in the Grossmont College Invitational this weekend and defeated Moorpark College on night one 91-77.

Anthony Smith had his season first double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, a season-high scoring night. Anthony Brewer was behind him with 19 points, two assists and two steals. Zadok Wilson had 13 points, three rebounds and two assists. Jacob Durham ended the night with six rebounds and six points.

Palomar shot 52.3 percent in the field, 46.9 percent beyond the arc and 100 percent at the charity stripe. The Comets caused nine turnovers and were able to score 10 points off of them.

The Comets move to 6-3 on the season and will face Palo Verde College at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
