Comets fall to Cerritos 79-56 in home opener

SAN MARCOS, CA (11/20/2019) – The Comets faced the Cerritos College Falcons in their home opener and lost 79-56 to fall to 2-3 on the season.

Anthony Brewer led the team with 17 points going 7-11 in the field and 3-5 beyond the arc. He recorded four assists and five rebounds. Zadok Wilson and Antonio Green both had seven points for the Comets. Green had six rebounds and four assists, while Wilson had three rebounds. Jacob Durham led the team with seven rebounds and was 2-3 from the charity stripe.

As a team, the Comets had 31 rebounds. Palomar had 17 turnovers but caused 12. The Comets shot 33.3 percent as a team in the field, 28.1 percent on the 3-point line and 71.4 percent at the free-throw line.

Palomar will be back home on Nov. 29 to kick off their Thanksgiving Tournament. They will face L.A Harbor at 6 p.m.
