Everhett Hazelwood picks up player of the week honor

Everhett Hazelwood collected a SoCal Player of the Week honor through the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association. In last Saturday's game against Southwestern, Hazelwood pitched seven innings. He had six strikeouts, gave up three hits and zero earned runs.

Hazelwood is a sophomore out of Norco High School in Corona. The right-handed pitcher has an ERA of 3.41 and has 35 strikeouts in his six appearances on the season. Hazelwood averages almost 10 strikeouts a game. He has a 3-1 record so far this season.
