Spires and Jarvis advance to Friday

MURRIETA, CA (4/24/2024) -- Janell Spires and Sonsi Jarvis were given the No. 5 seed in the PCAC Individual Pairs Tournament and were the only Comets to advance to Friday.

The All-Conference duo had a bye in the first two rounds of the single-elimination tournament and faced the No. 12 seeded pair from San Diego Miramar College. Spires and Jarvis made light work of them to advance to Friday where they will the No. 4 seeded pair from San Diego Mesa College. 

Ashlynn Craven and Cadence Young were the No. 24 seed and lost to No. 25 MiraCosta College. Melanie Jarvis and Brisa Necocheca were seeded No. 26 and faced the No. 23 seed from Grossmont College, wile Mayara Swillens and Khaila Granger were seeded at No. 28 and faced the No. 21 seed from San Diego Miramar. Rounding out the field for the Comets were Mariah Flores and Madison Strunk as the No. 34 seed and they faced the No. 15 seed from MiraCosta College.
