Bio

Tyler Saladino came to Palomar College out of University City High School and became a two-time first-team all-conference infielder under Head Coach Buck Taylor. As a sophomore, he was the PCAC Player of the Year, a first-team All-State and All-West Coast selection and Community College All-American, as the Comets won a conference title. That year, Saladino hit .616 in conference games and batted .441 overall. His .399 career batting average ranks fifth on the all-time Palomar list. In a single season at Oral Roberts University, he was the Summit League Player of the Year while leading his team to a conference title and a berth in the NCAA Division I National Tournament. Selected in the seventh round of the 2010 MLB draft by the Chicago White Sox, Saladino made it to the majors in 2015. Considered an above average-to-spectacular defensive player, he batted .282 in 93 appearances during the 2016 season.
