Bio

Plein servied the Palomar athletic department for more than a quarter century in one of the most difficult, complex and challenging positions on campus and along with her professional accomplishments established lifelong friendships with countless student athletes and coaches. She began her Palomar career as a receptionist for Dean of Instruction Dr. Ted Kilman. Until her retirement in 2008 and temporary return in 2011-12, she provided personal care and concern for Palomar's athletes and coaches under Athletic Directors Bob Lusky (deceased), Dr. Nan Haugen, John Woods and Scott Cathcart. Before Palomar: Plein is a graduate of Eugene High School in Eugene, Oregon. She joined the U.S. Navy WAVES in 1960. Currently: Retired and living with her husband Bob in Oceanside, she remains a big fan of the University of Oregon Ducks and the Palomar Comets. She can be seen at many Palomar athletic events.
