Bio

Corey Mace came to Palomar College from Port Moody Secondary School in British Columbia, Canada, to play defensive line for Head Coach Joe Early and Defensive Coordinator J.G. Aegerter. He recorded 12 quarterback sacks and earned All-Mission Conference honors in two seasons with the Comets. A Division I prospect coveted by the nation’s top programs, Mace accepted a scholarship to the University of Wyoming, where he became an All-Mountain West Conference selection. The Buffalo Bills signed him as a free-agent after graduation, where he played three successful NFL seasons. He then signed with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League, where he played six more pro seasons. His key fourth-quarter sack helped Calgary to a 20-16 victory over the Hamilton Tiger Cats in the 2014 Grey Cup (CFL championship game) and he was named the Stampeders’ defensive line coach in 2015.
