Bio
At the dawn of the new century, Hilary Horman was clearly the outstanding female aquatics athlete at Palomar College. During her two-year career, the Carlsbad High School grad was a dominant force in both water polo, under Head Coach Patti Waterman and swimming, under Head Coach Jem McAdams. In water polo, she set a school record for assists, was the only Palomar player to be named to the California Community College All-State Tournament Team in 20 years and earned All-American honors. In her sophomore year, Horman led the water polo team to its’ best season ever, as the Comets went 17-3-1 while advancing to a fourth-place finish in the state community college championship tournament. In swimming, she was a two-time All-American, achieving state-championship qualification marks in three individual events and on three relay teams in each of her competitive seasons with the Comets.
