Bio

Tammy Fa’agata, a product of Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park, California, was selected as the California Community College State Player of the Year in 1992 after helping lead Coach Mark Eldridge’s Comet Softball Team to the Pacific Coast Conference championship and a runner-up finish in the state championship tournament. In her one season at Palomar College, Fa’agata posted a .394 batting average and blasted nine home runs. She landed an athletic scholarship at Cal State Fullerton and played successfully for the Titans in 1993. Following that year, Fa’agata returned to her hometown of Rohnert Park to enroll at Sonoma State University, where she spent the 1994 season as a redshirt transfer. In 1995 at CSUS, she returned to the game for her senior year and produced a team-leading .448 batting average, still the third-best single-season performance in school history.
