Bio
Two-time Community College All-American Chris Cain came out of Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe Springs to wrestle at 134 pounds for coach John Woods and became the first two-time state champion in Palomar's storied wrestling history in 1977-78 and 1978-79. He received a scholarship to national power Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and qualified for the NCAA Division I National Tournament in 1980-81 and 1981-82. In the 1981 National Tournament at Princeton University he lost to No. 1 seed and eventual second-place finisher Lenny Zalesky of the University of Iowa and eventually was eliminated by the fifth-place finisher, Ken Gallagher of the University of Northern Iowa. Cain lives in La Mirada.
