Bio
A graduate of Fallbrook High School, Scott Barrick transferred to Palomar College from San Diego State University prior to the 1989 football season and quarterbacked coach Tom Craft’s Comets to a Mission Conference Southern Division championship and the college’s first-ever postseason appearance. In that game, entitled the Hall of Fame Bowl and played at San Diego’s Balboa Stadium, Barrick engineered a thrilling 21-20 Comet victory over Ventura College. A J.C. Grid-Wire first-team All-American, Barrick passed for 3,624 yards in his only season as a Comet, which still ranks third on the program’s all-time list. He also connected on 23 touchdown passes for the season. His 478 passing yards against Southwestern remains tied for the third best Palomar College single-game performance of all time. Barrick completed his collegiatee football career at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
