Vincent Kolbe Honored as ABCA/Marines National Assistant Coach of the Year

SAN MARCOS, CA (10/11/2024) — Palomar College's baseball program is proud to announce that Assistant Coach Vincent Kolbe has been named the ABCA/Marines National Assistant Coach of the Year for the Pacific Association Division. Kolbe, who recently completed his third year with the Comets, serves as the team's first base coach and works with the catchers. His outstanding contributions to the program and his players have earned him this prestigious honor.

Kolbe's role as the first base coach and his expertise in developing the team's catchers have been crucial to the team's success. His ability to enhance the defensive capabilities of the squad has been a significant factor in Palomar's strong performances over the past three seasons.

The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), in partnership with the Marines, annually awards assistant coaches who demonstrate exceptional coaching skills and contribute meaningfully to their teams. Kolbe's leadership, particularly in guiding the catchers and overseeing duties as the first base coach, has been instrumental in Palomar's continued success.
