Men's Golf Takes 2nd in Conference Match

In the first PCAC match of the year, the Comets took a combined 2nd place on the day with a combined score of 453 at the Torrey Pines North course in La Jolla, California. This second place finish was just 6 shots off of the leader, College of the Desert who totaled a low score of 447.
In this one round match, the Comets finished with an average score of 76, just a few strokes above par.
It was Jacob Montes with the low of the day for Palomar who shot 2 strokes under par with a 70, just one stroke off of the medalist Bobby Kim from College of the Desert. It was almost Montes' 2nd first place finish in a row.
Kyoshiro Azumada was second for Palomar College shooting a 79 which was good for 4th place overall.
Alex Rhee, Patrick Gorman, and Jaime Sanz took 8th, 9th, and 10th, with a 76, 76, and a 77.
Zach Brown finished 12th with a 79 keeping every Comet under the 80 mark showing for a good round of golf for Palomar College.
The Comets look ahead to build off of another strong round to a conference meeting at Tukwet Canyon, a par 72, on March 19, 2018.
