Comets Take 6th at the Riverside CC Invitational

Men's Golf took on the Riverside Community College Invitational located at the Victoria Country Club in Riverside, California on Monday February 26th. This Shotgun start was set for 8:00 am for this par 72 course. Victoria Country Club is a prestigious course that has hosted some professional qualifiers and numerous amateur events, including the Southern California Amateur Championship in 2007.
The Comets took 6th place on the afternoon shooting a net score of 382 behind first place Orange Coast's 363.
Our best score came from Patrick Gorman, a sophomore out of Hemet high school, where he shot a 73. His 73 came just one stroke off of shooting par and was only 3 shots off the lowest scorer of the Invitational.
Behind Gorman, Zach Brown, a freshman out of Rancho Bernardo high school, shot a 74 for the Comets sporting one of his best rounds of the spring season.
The Comets look forward to their next Invitational March 5th, at the SoCal Preview at Bakersfield.
