Comets sweep Cuyamaca, fall to Fullerton in 4 sets

SAN MARCOS (9/02/2017 9-06/2017) -- Palomar is off to a 1-1 start in women's volleyball after sweeping Cuyamaca 25-6, 25-10, 25-15 in a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference crossover match on Friday evening and dropping a 25-12, 14-25, 25-22, 25-16 non-conference decision to Fullerton College on Wednesday evening, both at The Dome. Crossover matches count as non-conference matches in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.

Kiara Lampkin led coach Karl Seiler's Comets vs. Fullerton with 14 kills and finished the match with 16 points. Grace Brown cointributed 14 digs with Sara Anne Mitchell adding 13 digs. Mikayla Seiler had 17 assists, and Samantha Radebaugh had 4 blocked shots.

In the sweep of Cuyamaca, Radebaugh led with 11 kills and 13 points, and Lampkin had 9 kills. Mikayla Seiler chipped in with 20 assists.
