Comets fall to Olympians at home

SAN MARCOS, CA (9/21/2022) -- Palomar College played host to No. 4 San Diego Mesa College on Wednesday in the Dome for a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference matchup and the Olympians won 3-0.

The Olympians immediately made themselves known jumping out to early lead, but the Comets hung tough in an attempt to win the first set. Mesa won set one 25-20. It was all Mesa from that point as they took sets two and three 25-14 and 25-9, respectively. 

Savanna Lewis finished the night with eight kills and two aces. Holland Hancock recorded five kills and nine digs, while Kenna Broach totaled 18 assists and seven digs.

The Comets move to 4-4 overall and 0-2 in PCAC play. They will face San Diego City College on Friday on the road. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
