SANTA ANA, CA (1/3/2020) – In their final non-conference game of the season, Palomar faced Santa Ana College and won 67-48 to improve to 15-1 on the season. Julie Saelee was the leading scorer again for the Comets, scoring 15 points, while Nikki Mayoral had 13. Melena Bland had 10 to go against with four rebounds and two assists. Bland was perfect at the free-throw line going 4-4. Lauren Hecker had nine rebounds for the Comets and one steal. Taylor Williams dished out seven assists and had six points to go along with six rebounds.
The Comets will start Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play on Friday night when they travel to Grossmont College for a 7 p.m. tip.
