Bio

Jeff is Starting his 6th year at Palomar College as the Bench Coach for Ben Adams and his 9th overall.

Prior to Palomar College, Doyle was Head Baseball Coach at The Army-Navy Academy in Carlsbad.  Jeff's 1st stint as a coach came in 1979 where he was a Graduate assistant at San Diego State University with Buddy Black for Jim Dietz.

Doyle began his Collegiate playing Career @ Bakersfield Community College (1974-1976) where he earned the team M.V.P. Award his Sophomore year. He also earned all-Southern California 1st team honors. Batting 350 with 7 home runs while playing for the Renegades. In 1976 after his Sophomore year, Head Coach Jim Dietz offered Jeff a Scholarship to play Baseball for the Aztecs in the Southern California Baseball Conference. In 1977 the San Diego State Aztecs were ranked as high as 3rd in the country.  While playing Centerfield. He earned 2nd team honors for the Aztecs while batting 306 with 6 home runs.

In 1977 his Senior year Jeff was the team M.V.P. earning 1st team honors in the Southern California Baseball Conference.

He had a team-leading batting average of .373. Jeff also broke the Doubles record (18) during his Senior year.

Signed as a Free agent with the Chicago Cubs after San Diego State University.

Jeff holds an A.A. from Bakersfield Community College and a B.A. in Sociology and marketing from SDSU.

He and his wife Therese have lived in Encinitas for 35 years.

Jeff and Therese’s son Christopher Doyle is a Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach at San Diego State University.

Chris will complete his master's degree in Homeland Security.
