Women go undefeated at Battle of the Beach

LONG BEACH, CA (10/26/2019) – Women's water polo continued their dominance at the Battle at the Beach Tournament on Saturday when they defeated Pasadena City College 14-2 and East Los Angeles College 18-4 to stay perfect on the weekend.

Against Pasadena, Sydni Dickson netted seven goals and had five assists and two steals. Harley Young, Sophie White and Haley Balch all had two goals a piece and Ciara Webb netted one. Young recorded six steals and White had five. Julia Miller had six saves on eight shots.

In the East L.A. game, Harley Young had six goals and Sydni Dickson had five. Sophie White and Haley Balch each had three and Ciara Webb had one. Young and Karla Cardona both had two steals, while everyone else had one. Julie Miller had 11 saves on 15 shots.

Palomar is now 14-8 overall. The women will be back in the pool on Wednesday Oct. 30 to face San Diego Miramar for their final conference matchup before the conference championships.
