Palomar drops first conference match

SAN MARCOS, CA (9/20/2019) – Palomar lost to San Diego Miramar College 3-1 on Wednesday night. They won the first set 25-20. The Comets then lost three straight (25-16; 26-24; 25-18).

Alina Lecakes-Jones led the team in total attacks with 25. Zandrea Brown followed closely behind with 22 attacks and Laurel Kerner had 15. Arielle Vannoy had nine digs and Maile Counts had seven. Carsyn Emerson and Sarah Nelson both had three assisted blocked. Emerson also recorded 19 assists and Claire Saalfeld had eight.

The Comets are now 2-6 overall and 0-1 in conference. Palomar faces MiraCosta College (8-2) on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. and will be home on Friday at 6 p.m. to take on Grossmont (12-1).
