Tennis season wrap-up
SAN MARCOS, CA (3/20/2020) -- Women's tennis was already battling a battered schedule after two teams dropped their programs this season. Following a 6-3 loss to Orange Coast College, the women bounced back to win three straight, an 8-1 win over Saddleback College, a 9-0 sweep over Southwestern College and an 8-1 win over San Diego City College. The women fell 6-3 to Grossmont and then won 6-3 over Imperial Valley College. The Comets were in second place in conference play behind Grossmont. They are 4-2 overall and 3-1 in conference.
The men's team won their first match of the season on Mar. 3rd with a 9-0 sweep over Imperial Valley College. Following a tough first match loss to Saddleback College, Palomar lost seven straight before winning. The Comets finished above Imperial Valley through the four matches in conference play.
