Women's golf swings into fifth at South Coast Classic

VENTURA, CA (8/26/2019) – Women's golf finished in fifth place in a field of nine at the South Coast Classic at Olivia Links Golf Course (day one) BuenaVentura Golf Course (day two) with a score of 783.

College of the Canyons won the Classic with a team score of 603, followed by College of the Desert with a team score of 642.

Kathy Henderson led the Comets with a day one score of 77 and a day two score of 80 for a total of 157. Marciel Nabor had a score of 101 followed by a 90 on day two. Hailey Bjerknes shot a 104 on day one and 89 the next day. Kumi Higuchi rounded out the team with a day one score of 126 and then a 116 on day two.

The women will be back in action on Wednesday, September 4 at Ironwood Country Club.
