Six Comets receive All-Conference honors

Six Comets receive All-Conference honors

Following a 21-8 season, six comets receive PCAC North All-Conference awards; four with first team all-conference and two with second team all-conference.

Receiving first team awards are Clarissa Taite, Julie Saelee, Taylor Williams and Imari Cooley. Comets receiving second-team awards are Dee Dee Valenzuela and Morgan Heise. These are the first awards for the recognized Comets.

Taite, a sophomore for the Comets, played all 29 games this season and started in 13 of them. She recorded 61 assists and scored 289 points for the Comets this season.In her freshman year as a Comet, Saelee played 29 games and averaged 11.4 points per game. She totaled 84 rebounds and recorded 38 steals this season. Also, in her breakout season, Williams played in 25 games and started 23. She scored 189 points for the Comets and had 99 assists. Freshman Cooley totaled 199 rebounds on the season and averaged 9.2 points per game.

Sophomore Heise played in all 29 games and started 19. She had 99 rebounds on the season, 27 assists, 32 steals and five blocks. Heise averaged 5.3 points per game. Freshman Valenzuela played in 26 games this season and average nine points per game. She had 31 offensive rebounds and 39 defensive rebounds, totaling 70 rebounds.
