Softball cruises past Orange Coast

COSTA MESA, CA (3/28/2019) – Coming off a 12-0 win against San Diego Mesa on Wednesday, the Comets defeated Orange Coast College 11-0 in five innings.

Kylie Pignone went 3-3 with an RBI and two runs. Sarah Fisher went 2-3 with an RBI and two runs. Megan Wachholtz was 2-4 with two RBIs and one run. Antoinette Robinson was 2-4 with one RBI and one run. Jillian Zamora was 2-4 with two RBIs.

In the third inning with the bases loaded, Pignone singled to bring home McKenna Crawford, followed by Fisher's single, who brought home Robinson and a Wachholtz single. Zamora and Pignone scored on Wachholtz's single.

Catalina Aguilar pitched four innings and had five strikeouts and gave up four hits.

The Comets will be home on April 5th to face San Bernadino at 3 p.m.
