High scoring Comets take down Miramar

SAN MARCOS, CA (10/30/2019) – Men's water polo faced San Diego Miramar College and won 27-14 in their final PCAC matchup before the conference championship tournament. Kevin McCollum scored seven goals for the Comets and recorded six steals. Janson Barela had four goals and three steals. Matt Corradetti, Scott Richards and Bryce Sammons all had three goals. Zane Bentley, Matt Kraszulyak, Truman Irion, Yoshua Reza, Braden McGuire, Ryan Bowe-McLeod and Rielly Gillum all had one goal. Corradetti had five steals and Dalton DeSpain and Barela each had three. DeSpain had 12 saves on 27 shots. Bentley was ejected from the game after three penalties.   

The men are in second place in conference with a 4-1 record and 10-9 overall record. The men are competing in a tournament at Southwestern this weekend.
