Soccer wins under the lights and lands in third place

SAN DIEGO, CA (10/18/2019) – Men's soccer faced San Diego Mesa College for a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference matchup and won 2-0 under the lights. Arturo Soltero scored the first goal for the Comets at the 42-minute mark on an assist from Shem Nikiza. Late in the second half, Bryan Covarrubias scored the second goal for the Comets on an assist from Soltero. Soltero recorded his eighth goal and sixth assist of the season.

Anderson Kinsey received a yellow card in the second half. This was his second of the season.

The Comets are currently sitting in third place in PCAC play with a 2-1-2 conference record and 6-4-4 overall record.

The men will be back on the pitch on Tuesday against MiraCosta College on the road at 1 p.m.
