Comets finish in 10th at Eagle Golf Classic

SAN JACINTO, CA (2/12/2020) – Palomar competed in the Eagle Golf Classic on Wednesday at Soboba Springs Golf Course. In the field of 16, the Comets finished in 10th place with a team score of 392. Cypress College finished in first place with a score of 367, followed by Reedley College and Mt. San Antonio College.

Nick van Vleet shot a 73 for Palomar on the par 72 course. Brandon Michaels finished with a score of 77. Finishing with a score of 80 was Michael McMillan and Milan Machaiah and Xavier Valles both shot an 81. Kyle Hazlett rounded out the team with a score of 84.

Palomar has competed in two previous matches. At the Pt. Conception Tournament, the Comets finished in seventh place out of 20 teams with a team score of 819. Last week they competed in the Orange Empire Conference Tee-Off where they finished fifth out of the 10 teams with a final score of 390. The men will be back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 19 when they compete in the Cuyamaca Classic.
