Comets have strong showing at Torrey Pines, back in first place

TORREY PINES, CA (3/13/19) – Men's golf finished in first place in the third conference match at Torrey Pines. Jacob Montes finished even on the par 72 course and was the low medalist.

Alex Rhee had the second lowest score, 74, 2-over par, of the day. Richard Jeppesen shot 76, Kyle Hazlett shot 79, Kyoshiro Azumada shot 80 and Zach Brown finished with a score of 83.

Montes has moved up to first place in the individual rankings, while Azumada has fallen to third. Rhee moves to second place.

As a team, the Comets are tied for first place with College of Desert with 10 wins and two losses through the three rounds.

The next match will be Monday at Saboba Springs.
