Comets take down Griffins at home

SAN MARCOS, CA (1/11/2023) -- Coming off a big win over MiraCosta College last Friday night, the men continued their momentum as they took on Grossmont College and won 99-71 as they advanced to 11-5 on the season and 3-1 in conference play. 

Locked in a close game through the first half, the Comets were finally able to pull away in the second half and controlled the game from there as they outscored the Griffins 56-31 in the second half. 

Six Comets finished the night in double digits with sophomore Andrew Milot led with 19 while freshman Adam Sevier finished with 16. Freshmen Dylan Walls and Kryztian Walton both finished with 12, while sophomore Chad Robinson and Clyde Harris each had 10. Harris recorded another double-double with 11 rebounds. 

Palomar will be home on Friday night as they take on Southwestern College, who they beat earlier this season 85-70, for a 6 p.m. tip.
