SAN MARCOS, CA (3/21/2025) -- The No. 15-ranked Palomar College baseball team wrapped up non-conference action on a high note, defeating Glendale College 5-1 on Friday afternoon at Palomar Ballpark. The Comets (18-7, 9-6 non-conference) used dominant pitching and timely hitting to secure the victory before shifting back to conference play next week.

Pitching Dominates in Victory

Palomar's pitching staff was outstanding, holding Glendale to just four hits and one run while striking out 13 batters.

  • Jacob Imoto, Joey Halter, Mason Garris, and Lucas Smith combined for four shutout innings, allowing only one hit while striking out six to secure the win.

Comets Take Control Late

After a scoreless first four innings, Glendale struck first with a run in the top of the fourth, but Palomar quickly responded in the bottom half. Rainn McMillan came through with a two-run single, giving the Comets a 3-1 lead.

Palomar added an insurance run in the seventh on an RBI double from TK Madera, and Justin Tucker's RBI double in the eighth sealed the win.
