Comets drop game three in series against San Bernardino

SAN MARCOS, CA (3/30/2019) – Palomar lost to San Bernardino Valley in game three of the series 9-7 on Saturday.

The Comets were leading 6-1 at the end of the fifth inning. Evan Ianniciello, Trevor Omahen and Cameron Rowles all contributed in scoring. Jared Burch singled in the ninth inning for an RBI.

Omahen was 2-5 with one RBI and one run. Noah Hemphill was 2-4 with three runs. Ianniciello was 2-5 with two RBIs.

 Everhett Hazelwood pitched 6.1 innings and had four strikeouts and gave up eight hits and five runs.

The Comets are now 16-8-1 overall and 8-4 in conference. They are currently in third place in conference standings behind San Diego Mesa and Southwestern, respectfully.

They will be back in action on Tuesday at home for game one of the series against Imperial Valley at 2 p.m.
