Beach drops two at Warm Waters

CARLSBAD, CA (4/1/2022) -- Palomar dropped two sets against MiraCosta College and Grossmont College in PCAC play on Friday. 

Against the Griffins, the 3s pairs (Alana Lacangan and Kenna Broach) were able to pull out a win after losing set one 21-16 and bounced back to win 21-18 and 15-9 in the final two sets. The 4s pairs (Brynn Wallander and Rachael Cooke) were able to get one set win against the Griffins when they won 21-12 and played close in set two but dropped the final two 21-15 and 15-4. 

In the second match against MiraCosta, the Lacangan and Broach won the first set 21-17 before falling 22-20 and 15-13 to snap their six-game win streak. Wallander and Cooke were the only other pairs who managed to get a set win, winning 21-17 in set two of their match. 

The Comets are now 3-7 overall and 1-4 in PCAC play. They face San Diego Mesa College and MiraCosta on Friday at Mesa.
